About Joanna
Joanna’s passion for singing and people started long before college. She has been singing since age 3. Now her life’s work focuses on helping people find the beauty in the deepest parts of themselves, so they can live healed and fulfilled lives.

As a coach, Joanna understands what it means to struggle, have hope, and be present in the healing process. Through her personal experience with trauma, and neurodivergence (ADHD) she has accessed a depth of wisdom, empathy, and compassion that has informed a unique perspective on healing. In her own journey, Joanna has found a passion for helping people with emotional trauma, religious trauma, codependency, and overwhelm feel understood and believe in a better future.
Joanna’s Story
Joanna is a lifelong learner and is currently taking her coaching to the next level by pursuing a Master’s Degree in Counseling. She has a certification in Narrative-Focused Trauma Therapy from The Allender Center in Seattle, WA. She is also trained in the Neuro Affective Relational Model (NARM), one of the leading modalities for healing complex trauma.
Joanna Finchum was the primary vocal coach for Bethel Music recording artists and Bethel Music Worship School for 13 years. For 10 of those years, she was a worship pastor for Bethel School of Ministry and a worship leader at Bethel Church. She has been a vocal professional for over 17 years and a student of voice for 22 years. Her primary method includes Speech Level Singing.
Through her study, Joanna has observed the intricate and undeniable connection between our psychological world, physiological experiences, and our voices. She desires to help her clients grow from a holistic perspective: mind-body-spirit using trauma-informed somatic techniques with a compassionate, yet practical approach.
Joanna is passionate about developing, coaching, and empowering church worship leaders & teams worldwide, teaching private voice lessons to mainstream artists, and working with clients in the recording studio. It is one of her life's greatest joys to help singers find their voice, and to release it with freedom, conviction, and confidence!
Joanna cares deeply about helping individuals walk through trauma and to help them realize how it’s affecting their lives. Healed and healthy people make the world a better place.
